Review Policy
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
I am currently being very selective about the books I accept for review. I have a large backlog of books sent to me for review, and I also have an extensive collection of books I have purchased that I am reading from. If I turn down a review request from you, please feel free to send me requests for other books as I will likely choose to review something at some point. Please also be aware I am not able to reply to all requests, so if I don't please don't take it personally.
That being said, I also must explain that I cannot guarantee a date for any review (unless I agree to a tour). Again, I have many books to choose from and am trying to keep reading fun! I also want to be able to read from the books I've purchase on my own as well. Please keep in mind that I am one person with various responsibilities and meandering moods. I do generally aim for a review on the release date/week (if I am sent the book prior to this date); however, it is not uncommon for a book to slip past that date and not be reviewed for the next month, or two, or three. The books I choose to read truly depend on my mood that day each time I pick up a new book. I also reserve the right to stop reading a book at any point if I'm no longer interested in it but will try to be fair in my review of it if so. I also reserve the right to choose not to review a book for any reason.
If you are a publisher or author and are interested in having me review your book after reading the preceding two paragraphs, please send me an e-mail at jennala (at) cfl (dot) rr (dot) com. Though my favorite genres tend to be literary fiction, contemporary fiction and mystery/thriller, I enjoy reading a variety of genres. These include chick lit, cozy, memoir, historical fiction, young adult, some non-fiction, and some dystopian literature. I read very few paranormal/urban fantasy but will every now and then (especially young adult ones).

With the rare exception, I will not accept self-published books for review.
