Book Blogger Convention

Have you all heard about the Book Blogger Convention??

It is going to be the day after BEA ends. Do any of you plan on going? I thought it might be fun and am considering going, even if I only fly up to NYC for a day or two. (Can't make it a long trip because we're planning a trip to Chicago in late April/ early May as well as another full NYC trip at least a few months after that if not later).

Anyway, I would possibly like to go, but only if I am going to know other people there/ meet other bloggers whose blogs I read and with whom I interact regularly!

Jenny, I am going to BEA and the convention. I've been waiting for info as to when it was actually going to be. Thanks for the info! Now I can continue planning.

I would love to "meet" you!

Michelle and Amanda -- yay!!!! I talked to my hubby and he's totally all for it. I even considered flying up for just the day and coming back home, but I love and adore NYC and would be so sad to leave so we will plan on staying a few days (plus I'm off that following Monday for memorial day) so it works out. I think I'm going to skip BEA for now though. There's only one thing that would potentially stop me from going, but I don't see that happening.

Now, are you guys going alone or taking your husbands? I'm going to take him as well but don't want to leave him during the convention so I'll probably pay for him to go too.... we don't get to "bring a guest" right?

Sumanam -- I definitely will! Hopefully you'll be able to go too though!

I've always wanted to go to BEA and a book blogger convention would be interesting! I'll keep you updated if I can make the trip.

I was thinking about going, Jenny. Haven't decided yet!

Crystal -- Definitely do! Or post it on your blog!

Jennifer -- You have to go now that you told me you're considering it, lol!!! Of course, it's going to be a little bit before I can pay for registration and airfare and all, but other than that I have every intention of going, hahah.

Yeah, I know! I'm just trying to figure out if I can do it! I have work deadlines, but I think I can spare one day off! LOL Another consideration is the cost to get there. I absolutely will not drive my own car into NYC, so it's either plane, train, or bus! And if I bring DH, that's more money. Really gotta think about it!! It sounds so cool, though, and I'd love to go!! I just have to figure out the logistics!

Oh I forgot you already live in NY! How far is the city from where you live? I plan on bringing my hubby too and I'm hoping I'm not the only one!

No hubby for me, just my friend Cheryl. She will go with me to BEA not the convention. :)

I WISH I could go I don't have the finances available plus I am a terrible traveler. I was so jealous when everyone was tweeting and blogging about this last year. Maybe someday. Go if you can and have fun!

Jenny - I live about four hours from NYC. I think my cheapest method of transportation would be by bus or train... Still thinking this through, but DH is all for it! He said he would come to NYC with me and just hang out while I go to the convention. He's such a sweetie!
