Here's my pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection:
From bn.com:
Margaret and Patrick have been married just a few months when they set off on what they hope will be a great adventure-a year living in Kenya. Margaret quickly realizes there is a great deal she doesn't know about the complex mores of her new home, and about her own husband.
A British couple invites the newlyweds to join on a climbing expedition to Mount Kenya, and they eagerly agree. But during their harrowing ascent, a horrific accident occurs. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Margaret struggles to understand what happened on the mountain and how these events have transformed her and her marriage, perhaps forever.
A Change in Altitude illuminates the inner landscape of a couple, the irrevocable impact of tragedy, and the elusive nature of forgiveness. With stunning language and striking emotional intensity, Anita Shreve transports us to the exotic panoramas of Africa and into the core of our most intimate relationships.

I've heard of this on iBookDB. There's even a giveaway for a copy of it, I think. It's not my usual read, but I hope you'll enjoy it when you get a copy. =)
I got a preorder notification from B & N about this. I can't wait to read it.
I can't wait for this! It's been on my Goodreads radar for a while now!
Lezlie -- Thanks! And I'm sure it will. =)
Lori -- oooOOOhh! What do I need to do?? ;-) I was actually thinking of buying this one when it comes out. We'll see!
Linda Ellen -- what is iBook?
iBookDB stands for internet book database. It's sort of like imdb, but for books instead. I think it's fairly new, and the administrator is still working out the kinks, I think. =/

Thanks! I like the site.. but the last thing I need is another book cataloging site, lol!
When you read this...you'll def. have to post a review b/c I've only read one of her books & didn't really enjoy it, but I'm always willing to read another book by that author.
I am also looking forward to reading this one!
Jenn-ay -- what book did you read? I know people either seem to love or hate her books. I actually feel sort of conflicted about her books (as evidenced by my recent review of Testimony.
