Dogs of Babel (mini-review)

In Dogs of Babel, Carolyn Parkhurst tells the story of a widower trying to find out what happened to his wife by teaching his dog to talk. The main character, a linguist, believes his dog, who was the only witness to the wife's death, would tell him how she died if only he could talk. The story has some morbid moments but also has funny and quirky moments. It was fast and enjoyable read, and I also liked the writing style.
